Kinley has been designed based on contemporary walkability principles which aim to deliver everyday needs and amenities within safe and comfortable distances from all homes. This helps create a more liveable and healthy place for future residents.
Kinley will comprise approximately 3,200 dwellings and 8,000 residents by 2041. Its masterplan includes a future village centre and a proposed new train station (subject to approvals) at its core.
Housing types will be varied and flexible, ranging from “traditional” single-dwelling lots at the southern and eastern boundaries, with lot and dwelling sizes steadily reducing as development progresses towards the village centre.
Kinley will protect and enhance the former Lilydale Quarry’s impressive industrial and cultural heritage values. Together with the delivery of high value open spaces and strong connections to the surrounding area, residents and visitors alike will enjoy a rich experience at the edge of Lilydale’s town centre.
